Obituary for Allen Cohen
Allen Cohen, of Eldersburg, MD, passed away on Friday, February 12th, 2021 at the age of 94. He is survived by his cherished children, A. Bruce Cohen (Sue Siettmann) and Patricia (David) Phillips; sister, Marian (late Ron) Block; grandchildren, Melissa Cohen (Ryan Leigh), Diana (Matt) Seivold, Adam (Jenn) Cohen, Brittany Phillips (Tim Brandau), and Ashley Cohen; great-grandchildren, Gretchen, Josh, Robbie, Heidi, Nicole, Addisyn, Chase, Sienna, and Colton; cousins, Shelly Vogel and Stanley Dansicker; sisters-in-law, Shirley Smith and Ann Bartorillo; and brother-in-law, Sam Bartorillo. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean Cohen (nee Bartorillo); siblings, Elaine (George) Glock, and Bernard (Gerry) Cohen; and parents, Cecelia Dorothy (Ben) Ginsberg and George Cole.
Our Dad, Grandpop, and Great Grandpop was 94, and had a witty sense of humor and would tell you he was a kid at heart, or forever 15 if you happened to ask. He could do a 1,000 piece puzzle, loved watching sports and anything chocolate, but most of all he loved being around his family.
In a reflection on his patriotism and commitment to the armed forces, Mr. Cohen donated his body to the Uniformed Services University at Walter Reed. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). An interment service will be held at a later date, at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery on Garrison Forest Road.
