Obituary for Anita Sue Blumenthal
Anita Sue Blumenthal (nee Monfred) of Baltimore, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021 at the age of 89. She is survived by her son Dr. Roger S. Blumenthal; daughter-in-law Dr. Wendy S. Post; and grandson Ross E. Blumenthal. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Stanley L. Blumenthal, her brother Daniel Monfred, and her parents Harry and Fannie Monfred.
She was born in Baltimore, MD and graduated Forest Park High School and Goucher College. She taught 3rd grade at Fallstaff Elementary School before becoming officer manager in her husband’s Pediatrics Practice in Silver Spring, MD. After her marriage, she and her family lived in Bethesda, MD and then McLean, VA before returning to Baltimore. She was an outgoing person who enjoyed going to athletic events, the theatre, and spending time with family and friends. She was a strong supporter of the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center.
The funeral will be private at Baltimore Hebrew cemetery on February 7, 2021. Arrangements have been made with the Levinson Funeral Home.
