Dear Jen, Stephen, Jordan, Zack, Alison, Vince, Sofia, Sydni, Steve, Lynn & Family,
I am thinking of all of you at this sad time and sending my heartfelt condolences. I feel so fortunate to have known Arlene for about 20 years. She was the strongest and bravest
woman that I have ever known. Also, Arlene was very wise, thoughtful, warm and loving. She will be greatly missed by me and everyone who knew her. There are so many good memories of Arlene and Stanley that will live forever in your hearts. Goodbye Arlene.

Dear Geare Family,
I am terribly saddened to hear about your loss. I met Arlene when we moved into the same building seven years ago, and we discovered we had mutual relatives. Arlene was always a pleasure to meet; she had a wonderful personality and was so kind to everyone. She never complained and was upbeat through all of her challenges. I hope and pray that your wonderful memories will bring you some measure of comfort in the difficult days ahead.

So saddened and hurt to hear of the passing of Arlene. Arlene was like an aunt to me my entire life. In fact the Geare family was the closest “family” we had in Maryland. From holidays, trips, and Shirley/Ruth jokes, she really will be missed. I hope her family eventually finds comfort while know we are always here for them. We love you Arlene and we love the entire Geare family.

My Cousin and I grew up together.....from Arlene being on Towanda Ave to me being on Dolfield Ave, .......where we gathered with our families every Friday night from being babies until our early age in our 20's.........

ARLENE went with Stanley and the young daughters Jennifer and Alison , to IRAN.......while I had gone to Colombia, S.A.......we stayed connected by USA mail..........upon her return and my return to the USA........we connected none once again.... BY NOW Arlene became a most spectacular cook.....and for the next 35-40 years served us the most delicious THANKSGIVING dinners to the family (ies) each year went by someone new was added to the guest list.........the number of people, in attendance, never was an issue...and Arlene's organizational kills were second to none.....the more, the merrier. Stanley loved each Thanksgiving holiday !!!....they were the BEST for everyone.

...Six years ago, when Arlene moved to her new home at the QUARRY......I had called her to let her know that I was coming to Baltimore to get married.........immediately she asked me WHERE, and WHO would be catering the event , but I had no idea ............BUT, 5 minutes later Arlene called me back, to suggest what she would like to give Jan and I for our wedding gift was.........her CONDO SPACE , and
........and would be happy, to CATER it the event at her new home. WHAT A FANTASTIC WEDDING IT WAS !!!!! .................. THE GIFT of THE ARLENE HOLZMAN GEARE SPECIAL EVENT.... was the best WEDDING we have ever been to !!!!
Cousin AR, Thank you for ALL the good times you shared with Jan and I
Cousin Arlene, may you rest in in peace, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER !!!! Cousin Sue

Jennifer, Alison, Steve & Families,
I am heartbroken over Arlene’s passing. I first met Arlene when I lived on Pimlico Road and she would visit her girlfriend, Susan, from school 59, who lived two doors away. We reconnected many years later when I moved across the street from her friend, Diane. Arlene went through so much due to her her health but rallied every time. I admired her will to live which was driven by the love she had for her children and grandchildren. Arlene kvelled whenever they were around. I will miss my good friend and all the fun times we had going on vacations together and to movies and dinner on weekends. Always keep Arlene in your heart and may she Rest In Peace.

To the entire Geare and Holtzman families,

I was so saddened to hear about Arlene’s passing. She was one of the nicest and most beautiful women I have ever had the honor to know. I first met her when Steve started dating Lynn and then we were neighbors on Winlee. She and Stanley were always warm and friendly. I can remember coming to the house to purchase some of the paper jewelry for the holidays to give as gifts. My heart goes out to each and every one of you - G-d took one of the good ones and now she is with her Stanley.

The memories will always be a blessing and they will sustain you in the days to come.

I feel like part of me is gone. We Traveled as families with or without the kids, we spent summers together at OC. We have been through good and bad together. We spent holidays together, the pool club together, Maj together. We took our moms out shopping and to lunch, we even took them to Fla a few times and that was a story in it self.We spent the last seven years as neighbors. I am finding it very hard to believe that she’s gone. She will always be remembered and I will always be here for you girls. Unfortunately this is one health issue she couldn’t win, she thought for all the others.RIP by friend

Dear Geare and Holzman families,
Our hearts are heavy at the loss of such a kind and wonderful person as Arlene was. We were so glad to have been at her 75th Zoom celebration and to see the joy she felt that day. We go back a long way from the old neighborhood and then reconnected years later. I played mahjong with her, we often met up with her dining out at Lidos in Hunt Valley with her mom and seeing her wonderful strength and courage as she faced so many health challenges and always had such an amazing positive outlook. Larry and I always enjoyed Arlene’s company because she was upbeat and fun to be with. Her love for her family was so great and she was always doting over her grandchildren. We will miss her. May she Rest In Peace and we know your many wonderful memories will sustain you through the days ahead.
