I am so sorry to hear of your loss! My thoughts are with your entire family! Thinking of you in Colorado with many fond memories of Barry's constant smile. My last memory of seeing him on the ditch trail will remain with me! Hugs to all of you!

Just heard this sad news. I worked closely with Barry during his Renaissance days for several years. We navigated through some very stressful times but Barry was always one cool customer. More importantly he was a very good man. So saddened by this news and will keep Sheryl and Barry’s family in my prayers.

Barry always made you laugh. He was not only a wonderful husband, father and friend, he was a true mensch. I remember the day he met his wife Sheryl. I was staying with him in Alexandra. He asked me what I thought. Of course, I thought she was great. He knew he’d met the “women of his dreams”!

Bar, you will always be in our hearts!

Of blessed memory. Barry was first-class. Always smiling. Always with a warm hello. His legacy in the homebuilding industry, UVA and those who knew him well, lives on.

Such sad news about Barry. I worked with Barry at Renaissance Housing. He was such a kind soul and always had a smile on his face. I could always tell when he was in the office by his signs “Oh my god” tag line echoing throughout the office . Thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones.

So sorry to read this news. I am a cousin through the Kaplan/Lippman side of the family, and met Barry a handful of times throughout my life. I was most surprised that we live in the same town and never knew it! So many missed opportunities to see each other. May the beautiful memories shared with Barry and each other ease the pain of your sorrow in the days ahead. My email:
