Obituary for Beverly K Cohen (Kadish)
Beverly K Cohen (nee Kadish), of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, July 10th, 2022 at the age of 99. She is survived by her loving son, Merton (Diane) Cohen; son-in-law, Howard Gampel; grandchildren, Margo Duncan, Allan (Christine) Cohen, Beth (Adam) Abell, and Mitchell Gampel; great-grandchildren, Michael Schwartz, Rachel Schwartz, Jacob Duncan, Marcy Cohen, Leah Cohen, Oliver Abell, Jett Abell, Mila Abell, Kisa Ulloa, Xena Gampel, and Johan Gampel; and sister-in-law, Ingrid Greenbaum. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernard B. Cohen; daughter, Joanne Gampel; brother, Pierce Kadish; sister-in-law, Sonia (Hyman) Friedman; and parents, Michael and Ida Kadish.
Beverly was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was an elegant speaker, a great story teller, and a revered person. People very often “adopted” her as their own “Bubbie” because of her wit and wisdom. As her deceased husband used to say “If Bubbie doesn’t know it, then it’s not worth knowing."
Whenever she cooked, people gathered and she shined when entertaining, which she did often with her large group of friends and family. But mostly, she gave strong family roots and traditions to her loved ones. This is her legacy.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 at 9:30 am. Interment Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Alzheimers Association, online at ALZ.org, or Chizuk Amuno Congregation, 8100 Stevenson Road, Pikesville, MD, 21208. The family will be in mourning at 7 Slade Avenue #718, Pikesville, MD, 21208, Wednesday immediately following interment until 3pm, continuing at 6pm with a service at 7pm, and Thursday beginning at 12 pm, with a service at 7 pm.
