Obituary for Debra Fran Shavitz
Debra "Debbie" Fran Shavitz (nee Dinkin), of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at the age of 68. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Shavitz; cherished and treasured daughter, Lauren Stern; adored niece and nephew, Jason (Jenny) Steel and Jennifer (Elizabeth) Steel. Debbie was a loving and compassionate friend to many. She is also survived by her step-children, Jared (Sasha) Shavitz and Brian (Nancy) Shavitz; and four step-grandchildren. Debbie was predeceased by her devoted sister, Sherrie Steel; and loving parents, Shirlee and Sidney Dinkin.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at 9:30 am. The family will not be receiving before the funeral service. Interment Oheb Shalom Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Believe Big, 11350 McCormick Road, Executive Plaza 1, Suite 100, Hunt Valley, MD 21031. The family will be in mourning at The Villages at Woodholme Clubhouse at 650 Mt Wilson Lane, Pikesville, Maryland 21208, immediately following interment, and Monday beginning at 12pm with services at 7pm.
