I am so sad to hear of Miss Ellen's passing, I had the pleasure of working with her at State Police. She was so cheerful and full of life. I admired her determination and strength, especially when it came to organizing office events and the lottery pool! She will be missed and I send my sincerest condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

How saddened I was to hear of Ellen's passing. Ellen was one of the most genuine and loving people I have ever known. The Maryland State Police is known for its great people and Ellen was most certainly one of them. Ellen was the queen of the Jumble Puzzles. I won't be able to solve one without thinking of her. To quote Shelley....Rarely, rarely, comest thou Spirit of Delight. Rest well my dear and our delight!

I knew Ellen the last short few years. We were co-members on the film selection committee of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Baltimore Jewish Film Festival.
Ellen always had great insight into films of Jewish content. And she was a delight to know. She will be missed by me and I'm sure other members on our committee.
I did not know her family, but may her memory be a blessing to you all.

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Ellen Davis. Ellen & I became friends through Beth El....mostly The Beth El Seniors. She had a great sense of humor and we had many interesting conversations about music, a passion we both shared, as well as other things We always enjoyed the Seniors' meetings when music was involved....we'd mouth the words and smile 'cause we knew almost all the words to all the songs the entertainers would sing. We exhanged many FaceBook stories and jokes. Ellen was a great gal and she will be missed. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Julian and the Davis family,
Nannette and I were very sorry to read of Ellen's passing. She was a very upbeat pleasant person. I have known her since our childhood days on Wabash Avenue. Whenever we would meet in later years, we always had time to talk about the good old neighborhood. I am glad that I knew Ellen. May she rest in peace.

I have known Ellen too shortly. Our friendship helped me through these Covid 19 restrictions. Her sense of humor always brought a smile. No matter when we spoke Ellen’s love of life shined through. Always busy, she was a marvel ... I will miss her.
However, I’m sure wherever she is there’s a board game close at hand.

We were so sorry to hear about the loss of our friend Ellen, who we knew since childhood. We grew up on Wabash Avenue, attended school #18, and then graduated from Forest Park High School together. She was always friendly and fun to be with. During the past year, we would enjoy sending email messages and jokes. Hopefully, the many memories you have will always be a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her close family at this difficult time.

Over the past few years, Ellen and I shared some fun and enriching experiences. We saw many wonderful theater performances (some not so great).
One original experience we had was taking public transportation, for the whole day, all around Baltimore and Annapolis. She was smart enough to figure out the scheduling.
She sent me the best funny emails.
I know how close she was with her daughter.
…my condolences to her family

I have known your Mom for over sixty years. We were sorority sisters (SDT) and then neighbors - just 2 doors apart in Kimberleigh. I looked forward to meeting her on Wed. afternoons at the library - where we would "catch up" on old friends. I will miss her friendly smile and sharing good memories. May her memory be a blessing.

The members of the Baltimore Jewish Film Festival Committee extend our deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother. Sharing a few of our heartfelt thoughts:
• Ellen’s ongoing contributions to the Film Committee’s efforts were superior in every way. We will miss her thoughtfulness and compassion.
• I did not know Ellen outside of the film festival meetings, but that was enough to get a taste of her humor and love of life. We, as a group, will be just a little less effective, but I'm sure she would say that is nonsense.
• So very sad. She was absolutely a lovely lady, such a kind presence to be around, a warm, insightful lady. She will be missed.

So shocked. So saddened. Eileen, you were a wonderful and devoted daughter. The two of you had a very special relationship. As I'm sure you know, my friendship with your Mom goes back to high school. She so kindly let me stay at her home for a couple of months when my house was sold as I was moving to Florida. And then there were the many summers I stayed with her when I returned to Baltimore for a visit. We had such a good time. It was like being college roommates again, which we were for half of our junior year. I will really miss her.
