Obituary for Elliott W. Weiner

Elliott W. Weiner, of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on April 9th, 2023 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Susan Weiner (nee Frame); by his children, Julie (Dr. Robert) Minch and Stacy Weiner (partner, Thomas Fleming); by his adoring grandchildren, Rachel (Jonathan) Genn and Danielle Karpa (fiancé, Max Sterling). He is also survived by his devoted sister-in-law, Barbara Lewis; brother-in-law, Herbert Lewis; loving nieces and nephews, Dr. Brian (Katherine) Lewis, Donna Lewis, and Eric (Joanna) Lewis; and sister-in-law, Irene Richmon Weiner. He was predeceased by his parents, Jean Weiner (nee Piltz) and Phillip Weiner; and his brother, Leonard Weiner.

Elliott loved his family above all else. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His Florida home was the center of family fun every Winter for the past 27 years.

Elliott graduated in 1963 from one of the first classes of the University of Maryland School of Physical Therapy. He spent many years as Director of Rehabilitation Medicine at Maryland General Hospital (now known as University of Maryland Midtown) and Director of Rehabilitation Medicine at Bethlehem Steel, and he was a founding partner of Greenspring Physical Therapy Associates. When he retired at the age of 81, Elliott was the oldest practicing physical therapist in the state of Maryland.

His interests included golfing, reading, sharing dinners with the whole family, and most importantly, spending time with his loving wife.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023 at 1 PM. Interment at Beth Tfiloh Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to University of Maryland School of Physical Therapy, 100 Penn Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. The family will be in mourning at 2104 Wiltonwood Road, Stevenson, Maryland 21153 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7-8:30pm, with a service at 7:30pm. The family will also be receiving on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4pm.
