Obituary for Freda S. Sussman (Sacki)

Freda S. Sussman (nee Sacki), passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of 95. She is survived by her children, Rabbi Lance J. (Liz) Sussman and Marcelle Sussman Fischler; sister-in-laws, Sandy Sacki and Belle Sussman; grandchildren, Benjamin (Kelly) Sussman, Joshua (Sheri) Sussman, Micah Sussman, Judah Sussman, Chana Sussman, Steven (Raina) Fischler, Danny Fischler, Jeremy (Ilanit) Fischler; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Charlotte Sussman, Ryan, Quinn and Hannah Fischler. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Sussman, brother, Kurt L. Sacki and parents, Max and Sophie Sacki.

Freda was a strong, smart, determined, loving, and courageous woman. At 12, a refugee from Nazi Germany, she traveled to America by herself. She graduated from The Johns Hopkins University, became an English teacher, ran a sewing threads business, worked her way up the volunteer ladder from Sisterhood to president of Temple Oheb Shalom, worked into her 80s as a travel agent, traveled the world with Charles, her beloved husband of 64 years, and for the last six years, enjoyed the Florida sunshine.

A Virtual Funeral will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Interment Oheb Shalom Memorial Park - Berrymans Lane. Please omit flowers.
