Obituary for Geraldine "Gerry" Smith
Geraldine "Gerry" Smith (nee Dickman), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday, May 17th, 2021 at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, Sherree Bourg, Karla (Bob) Perelstine, and Michele (Lee) Norwood; grandchildren, Marissa Perelstine, Erin Perelstine and Cheyenne Bourg. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard D. Smith; siblings, Henry Dickman, Leon Dickman, Molly Steinberg, Elyce Wasserman and Morris Dickman; parents, Sarah and Meyer Dickman; and granddaughter, Chelsea Bourg.
Gerry graduated from Sinai Hospital School of nursing in 1954 and had an exceptional nursing career at Sinai Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Baltimore. She was a Mah Jongg maven who always enjoyed her weekly games with her friends. Gerry was a longtime member of Moses Montefiore Anshe Emunah Hebrew Congregation where she was active in the sisterhood.
A Virtual Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at 10am. Interment Har Zion Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Rosedale. Please omit flowers.
