Obituary for Dr. Gilbert Cullen

Dr. Gilbert Cullen, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday, September 12 at the age of 100. Gilbert Cullen was born on April 21st, 1922, and raised in Baltimore. He graduated from Baltimore City College, then attended University of Maryland College Park, and after serving as a Lieutenant for four years in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1941 until 1945, he attended University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He practiced as a Dentist for over 25 years, owned and managed Merritt Savings and Loan, and started Towson Travel Center.

He is survived by his children, Peggy Cullen (Andy) Matlow and Michael (Margaret) Cullen; and granddaughter, Sofi Cullen. He was predeceased by his wife, Betsie Cullen (nee Kitzes); brother, Jerome Cullen; and parents, Anna and Morris Cullen.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on September 13, at 10:30 AM. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
