Obituary for Harold Walpert
Harold Walpert, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife Naomi Walpert (nee Leuchter); by his children Bryan Walpert (Nancy Golubiewski) and Laura Walpert; by his sister Eileen (Ralph) Levy; by his sister-in-law Ferne Walpert, and by his grandchildren Abigail Walpert and Zachary Walpert. He was predeceased by his brother Alfred Walpert and by his parents Rose and William Walpert.
Harold was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. An electrical engineer until his retirement, he became an avid and skilled watercolor painter who also excelled at pastel portraits. His paintings were displayed at watercolor shows and appeared as the cover illustration for two of his son’s books of poetry. He was a talented handyman who converted an attic into a living space and doubled the size of the kitchen. He was a warm, playful, affectionate, generous and humble person, known for his humor and love of conversation.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 at 10:30 am. Interment Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery - N. Rogers Avenue. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the charity of your choice. The family will be in mourning at 6224 Berkeley Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21209 on Tuesday following interment until 3:30 pm; then 6-8 pm, Wednesday: 12:30-2:30 pm, and Thursday: 6-8 pm.
