Obituary for Henrietta Matz (Oppenheim)
Henrietta Matz (nee Oppenheim), of Pikesville, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 at the age of 102. She is survived by her sons, Robert Matz (Peggy Warner), Dr. Stephen (Georgia) Matz, and Dr. Samuel (Patricia) Matz; grandchildren, Rachel Elise Matz (Dr. Robert Hunter), Karin Judith Matz (Jerry Pedroza), David Francis Matz (Lara Vandenbergh), Jamie Harrison (Emy) Matz, Katie Allison Matz (Fiancé, Henry Andrew Carpenter III), Sarah Brittney Matz (Nick Guarino), Amanda Courtney Matz, and Erica Frances Matz (Brady Faby); great grandchildren, Nathaniel Kherberg, Mason Pedroza, and Joey Elder Matz; and many loving nieces and nephews. Henrietta was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilbur Matz; siblings, Bernard "Pete" Oppenheim, Mollie Collector, and Toby Oppenheim; and parents, Frances and Samuel Oppenheim.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 2:30 pm. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the Miriam Lodge 3622 Glen Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215. The family will be in mourning at 10 Woodgait Court, Reisterstown, Maryland 21136, Immediately following the interment until 7 pm.
