Obituary for Henry Irwin Glick

Dr. Henry Irwin Glick (9/3/1934) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8 at the age of 88. Beloved husband to Frances Glick (nee Schutz), devoted father to Stephen (Clare Williams) Glick, Andrew (Helene) Glick, Suzanne First, and Michael Glick, cherished grandfather to Phoebe, Emily, Rachel, Zoe, Alison, Jacob, Eli, Daniel and Joseph. Henry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, the only child to Annette and Aaron Glick. He attended college and medical school at his beloved alma mater, Indiana University. Henry’s life work was practicing medicine as an obstetrician/gynecologist for over 60 years, delivering more than 5,000 babies and caring for women with the utmost compassion and grace. His patients were everything to him, and he treated each and every one with unparalleled care, kindness and attention. Henry was chief of staff at Baptist Hospital of Miami from 1988-1993. He piorneered Femwell, South Florida's single-specialty group practice. Henry lived life to its fullest, making the most of every day with his work, his golf, his photography, his travel and his love of reading and writing poetry. He loved his family fiercely and unwaveringly. He will be missed by so many and has left a legacy in the field of medicine that will live on forever. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, November 13 at Temple Beth Am, Miami, FL.

Interment at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Road Clarksburg, MD 20871, on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Please omit flowers. The family will be in mourning at the home of Andy and Helene Glick. with services at 7pm.
