Howard’s professional career has been primarily in the fast-food restaurant business and in real estate development. Since 1983, he has been involved in all aspects of the restaurant business having been associated with over 47 food establishments. Howard was a Vice President of the Taubman Company, a nationwide premier shopping center development company, and in the development of a 250-room luxury retail and hotel complex in Charleston, South Carolina. Additionally, he has owned, developed and constructed office, commercial and residential locations in Maryland and Florida, most notably, Ann’s Dari-Crème, a Maryland fixture for over 70 years.

A fixture in Annapolis since 1983, his larger than life personality and booming voice made him one of a kind and always remembered, whether at a local restaurant or at Nordstrom; everyone knew Howard and everyone remembered Howard.

Howard was the ultimate Navy football fan and could often be heard shouting from his box on the 50 yard line “GO NAVY”.
