Obituary for Ida Mildred Yaker (Girshin)
Ida Yaker (nee Girshin), of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, November 10th, 2022 at the age of 98. She is survived by her loving children; Martin (Karen) Yaker, Allan (Adrianne) Yaker, and Stanley (Sue Ann) Yaker; her dear grandchildren, Beth (Scott) Schwartzberg, Annie Yaker, Ari Rosen, and Lara (Seth) Johnson; and her cherished great grandchildren, Dylan, Magnus, and Charlotte Schwartzberg. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Abraham Yaker; and her siblings Rae Lipsitz, Jake Girshin, Louis Girshin, and Harry Girshin.
She was a proud grad of Western High School, an active member of Covenant Guild, and an engaged member of her community. Ida entertained many as a dancer and singer as part of the Covenant Guild. All the family enjoyed her company and she doted on her children, grandchildren, and especially her husband, Abe.
Services at Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery, 4450 N. Rogers Ave., Baltimore, MD 21215, on Sunday, November 13th, 2022 at 3:00 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Covenant Guild, Inc., 1 High Stepper Court, Apt. 604, Baltimore, MD 21208. The family will be in mourning at 46 Stridesham Court, Baltimore, MD 21209, on Sunday, November 13th, immediately following interment with a service at 4:30 pm.
