Obituary for Jeanette Golbin (Posner)

Jeanette Golbin (nee Posner), of Havre De Grace, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at the age of 99. She is survived by her loving children, Arlene (Stephen) Burns and Neal Golbin; sister-in-law, Charlotte Posner; cherished grandchildren, David (Jessica) Burns and Samantha Burns (Darren Stineman); and adored great-grandchildren, Micah Philip Burns, Simone Burns, Amira Burns, Talia Stineman, and Aviva Stineman. Jeanette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Philip Golbin; brothers, Nathan (Florence) Posner and Sheldon Posner; and parents, Sylvia and Samuel Posner.

Jeanette and Phil were early members of the Harford Jewish Center, helping to create the current Adas Shalom. She was an active board member for many years. She was known and appreciated for her skillful baking, generously contributing her home-made delicacies to many events. She was a life-long Hadassah member. Jeanette was a voracious reader and champion of education. She was a long-time board member of the Havre de Grace Public Library and a major force in the creation of its new building. She served on the Ladies Auxiliary of Harford Memorial Hospital, helping to organize their book sale fundraisers.

Services at Harford Jewish Center Cemetery, 6307 Hamilton Avenue, Rosedale, MD, on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 12:30 pm. Please omit flowers.
