Obituary for Laurie Glassner
Laurie Glassner (nee Jacobson), of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at the age of 78. She is survived by her beloved husband, Arnold "Sonny" Glassner; daughter, Lauren (Andy) Levinson; sister, Rosellen Fleishman; grandchildren, Josie Levinson, and Bea Levinson. She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Bessie Jacobson; brother, Louis Jacobson; and brother-in-law, Bob Fleishman.
As a business and community leader, as well as wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, Laurie was a force of nature and a bright light. With her husband Sonny, she owned and ran Louis Mazor, Inc., an interior design business started by her grandfather at the turn of the 20th century. Over the years, she actively supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Kennedy Krieger Institute, and the Womens Board of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Services at Oheb Shalom Memorial Park, 430 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136, on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, at 1 pm. The family will receive visitors after the service on Tuesday at 3407 Woodvalley Drive, Pikesville, MD 21208; costumes welcome. Shiva to take place on Tuesday evening at 7pm and on Wednesday evening at 6pm. Please omit flowers.
