Obituary for Joan Phyllis Magaziner
Joan Phyllis Magaziner, of Pikesville, MD, passed away on May 23, 2023 at the age of 88. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Frederick Magaziner, loving children, Laurie (David) Bokow, Amy (James) Andersen, and Dr. Jeffrey (Miriam) Magaziner, adored grandchildren Melissa (Brian) Perry, Kenneth Bokow, Megan (Cory) Pennington, Benjamin (Kelly) Andersen, Matthew Andersen, Aaron Magaziner, and Justin Magaziner, and cherished great-grandchildren Snowden Pennington, Phoenix Pennington, and Ava Perry. She was predeceased by her parents, Max and Rena Golden and her brother, Dr. Richard Golden and her sister-in-law Judith Golden (nee Harrison).
Services at Sol Levinson’s Chapel 8900, Reisterstown Road Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 1 pm. Internment Arlington Cemetery of the Chizuk Amuno Congregation. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Maryland SPCA 3300 Falls Rd, Baltimore MD 21211, Beth El Congregation 8101 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208, Beth Israel Congregation 3706 Crondall Lane Owings Mills MD 2117, or the charity of your choice. The family will be in mourning immediately following the internment at 12329 High Stakes Drive, Reisterstown, MD, and from 7-9PM with services at 7:30PM on Wednesday, and from 1-4PM and 6-8PM with services at 6:30PM on Thursday. The family will also be receiving visitors on Friday from 1-4PM.
