Obituary for Dr. Joseph David Mechanick
Dr. Joseph David Mechanick passed away on Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at the age of 89. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Mechanick (nee Rottenberg), his children Dr. Jeffrey (Debra) Mechanick and Dori (Robert) Blitzstein, his grandchildren Chase Mechanick (Genevieve Sico), Reid Mechanick, Alec Blitzstein, and Halle Blitzstein, and by his adoring niece Stephanie Mendel and nephew, Ryan Mechanick. He was predeceased by his parents Sara (Sue) and Harry Mechanick, and by his brother Sheldon Mechanick.
Jerry's professional passion was Dentistry and he was known as a kind, compassionate, skilled dentist who built a strong practice. An honest gentleman, a former Marine, and a loyal brother, he was a man who always stuck to his convictions. He married the love of his life and lived a good life, filled with sport, fun, and laughter that he shared with his family and friends. He enjoyed, loved, and appreciated the company of his children and grandchildren, was proud of all their accomplishments and developed strong and meaningful ties with them. Jerry passed away peacefully and will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
