Joyce Axelman Franklin, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Friday, March 10th, 2023 at the age of 70. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond Franklin; her loving children, Stacey (Adam) Konstas, and Jacob Holland; her dear siblings, Karen (Randy) Hesse, and Mark (Sharon) Donald; and her cherished grandchildren, Ace Konstas, and Wynn Konstas. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Cantor Alvin and Geraldine Donald, and Noah Axelman.

Joyce’s family was her main passion but she also lived a very rewarding professional life. For over forty years Joyce was proud to be a Johns Hopkins University employee and to be at the forefront of clinical research. Managing the labs of Drs. Migeon, Gearhart and Elisseeff, she helped advance stem cell research.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21208, on Monday, March 13th, 2023 at 12 pm. Interment Workmen Circle Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of your choice. The family will be in mourning at, 4160 Old York Road, Monkton, MD 21111, on Monday starting at 4 pm, and continuing on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 pm to 3 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on both days.
