Obituary for Judith Nogi Goldstein

Judith Nogi Goldstein passed away on June 10, 2022 in Delray Beach, FL at the age of 94. Born in Scranton, PA, she lived much of her adult life in Baltimore, MD, and later resided in Palm Beach County, FL. She was a two time graduate of Goucher College (Bachelor's degree in 1949, and M.Ed. in 1966), and taught at The Valley School and Garrison Forest. Throughout her life she did volunteer work - Levindale, Planned Parenthood, Goucher College, The Park School, The Morikami Museum, tutoring immigrants, etc. She was an avid reader, a gourmet cook, and a skilled knitter; she loved gardening, and had the reputation of being a cordial and exceptional host.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband (of 28 years), David M. Snyder, and her second husband (of 37 years), Eugene O. Goldstein, M.D. She is survived by her children and step-children: Stephen Snyder of Baltimore, MD; Peter Snyder of Boca Raton, FL; Elizabeth Snyder of Delray Beach, FL; Robert Snyder of Seattle, WA; Nancy Ross of San Diego, CA; James Goldstein of Vero Beach, FL; Martin Goldstein of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She will be missed.

Services at Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery, 318 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136, on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022 at 11:00 am. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Goucher College, Advancement Office, 1021 Dulaney Valley Road, Baltimore, MD 21204-2794. The family will be in mourning at Bolton Street Synagogue, 212 W. Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore, Maryland 21210, Tuesday evening with services at 5:30 pm and Wednesday morning with services at 8:30 am.
