I'm certain that no man loved, adored, cherished and respected his wife more than Lester did you! I always thought it so dear that Lester called you Lanie Bear the multiple times that he'd call you from work each day. 30 years ago Lester stated that he and I would go through life together via the stories we shared through the window of our mutual office wall. And so we did...raising children, bragging and grumbling about them, sharing vacation stories, adopting dogs, little league, horse shows, B'nai Mitzvah planning, graduations, etc. And so we did, but cut short by Lester's too soon passing. Lester was my work buddy, confidant and teacher. I will miss him dearly.

I was so sorry to hear about Lester. Whenever I would travel on business and headed to Lester's office I knew it would be a highlight of my week. He truly was one of the nicest and kindest and thoughtful gentleman I would see on my 20 plus years in his industry. I love the pictures you have posted as they say so much about Lester. Thinking of you in this difficult time. Jill Gunter

Dear Elaine, Mike, and Family,
Alan and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Lester's passing. He was truly one of a kind! Who can ever forget Lester standing outside the fence near the batter's box at all those baseball games, being the unofficial team manager and coach?? Everyone listened to him, because the boys knew that Lester cared about them and wanted only the best for them (and the team too, of course, lol). He served as the talent scout for Michael, Brandon, Sean, and Adam as they tried out for the Maccabi baseball team, singing their praises to the Coach at try-outs. The boys were all talented and made the team, but we were grateful for Lester's taking them under his wing.

Lester was such a mensch and a wonderful personality. We are thankful that we were in his and your orbits during that precious time of our sons' youth. Such wonderful memories. Wishing you peace in the days ahead. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Elaine and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I am so thankful for all Lester did for the GoldHeart dogs that were lucky enough to cross your threshold -- I know they adored him, and your sweet Carly will surely miss him too. I am keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers, as is your entire GoldHeart family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Lester’s passing. While we only spoke or met occasionally throughout the years to discuss finances, Lester always had a kind word or a funny story to share, always asked about my family, and always had time for me. He loved to share his family anecdotes as well, allowing me to get to know him too. He was good at what he did for sure but he was great at being a good guy. He will be truly missed.

To the Goodman Family... I am so sorry to learn of Lester's passing. I met Lester back in 1964, and from Day One, he was always a happy guy, always a fine person and one of the All-time greats! -- Lester was a man who's name was appropriate, as Lester Goodman was in deed a good man. A wonderful man. My sincere condolences go to the family. Lester will be missed, but the fond memories of him will live on.

Elaine, Mike and Family,

We haven't stopped thinking about you since hearing the news of Lester. I remember early on catching Mike's little league games and always receiving feedback from Les in such a nice and gentle way. I always knew my marching orders for next time out. I always looked for him at High Holiday services, most recently at Chabad, usually finding a pause in the service to discuss our fantasy football lineups. Mike, Les was your Dad but he was also always one of the boys.

Elaine and family,
We were so sad to hear this news. We may not have seen each other often, basically when we were with Mike and Randy, and would run into you, but Lester always seemed so happy and jovial. It was a pleasure to spend whatever brief times together that we did. He certainly will be missed by all who knew him. Wishing your happy memories will help get you through tough times.

Elaine and Michael, I was beyond sad to hear of Lester's passing. Although I had not seen him in many years since moving to Texas, my wonderful memories of his sense of humor, his magnetic laughter, his love of attending games to watch Michael and Jonathan are all forever etched in my mind as if they all took place days ago. He was truly one of the nicest people to have entered my and all of our lives and his memory will forever be carried by all of us with pure love and affection.

Words cannot express the loss I feel having learned of Lesters passing. true professional in both private and business. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and the positive influence he had on those around him. As Lester said to me many times "Go Ravens". Sad he will miss it.

Elaine, Mike, Vivian, and Gail, I was stunned to say the least when hearing of Lester's death. He was like the brother I never had and we spent alot of time together on the phone and roaming the streets with the whole gang in the old neighborhood. I will never forget in 6th grade when Linda Sagel and I played football with you and the boys. You taught me that you had to run 10 yards with the ball. I thought that was ridiculous, how hard could that be? Ms. Goldscher used to say it was a shonda to be playing ball with the boys. I am so lucky to have those memories and so, so many more. Lester was a great guy. He had the gift of gab and I truly loved him. I had talked to him through the years. We would catch up during a professional call at the office but recently, we did not have enough contact. I am so sorry for that. I hope your memories and all of these tributes are a blessing to all of you. We truly lost a good one!

Dear Goodman Family,
I was Lester's 6th grade teacher at Bedford Elementary School and remember him as a good student and a kind young man with a great personality. Years later, I saw Lester at Legg Mason, and we talked about our time at Bedford. I am deeply saddened to hear of Lester's untimely passing, but it seems as though he had a great impact on everyone who knew and loved him. I hope and pray that the wonderful memories you shared with Lester will bring you some measure of comfort in the difficult days ahead.
Sending you my deepest sympathy.

+Having grown up together and being pals since we were 8 years old, I have only wonderful memories of our times together- collecting coins, trying to teach me Hebrew , playing football in your back yard and just hanging out in the neighborhood with all the other Bedford boys. You left me with many fond memories and you will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with your family during this most difficult time. God bless.

Mike | Elaine,
Lester always treated me as extended family and Breezy Ct was my second home. It wasn’t a complete fantasy football draft until Lester made an appearance and brought a smile to every face in the room. We were always guaranteed the most loyal baseball fan in the stands rain or shine. Even years after we moved out of the Goodman family basement, Lester never missed an opportunity to catch up and express how proud he was of everyone. He’s gone too soon, but the wait staff in heaven has a new favorite customer. Love,

Lester was a friend and colleague, and I will really miss him. You could talk to Lester about anything, and he always made you laugh. We would often trade movie and music picks; Lester loved entertainment media and gave me the best shows to watch, and always wanted to know what music I was listening to. But more importantly, Lester was a good friend to confide in. Baruch Dayan Ha'emet.
