Obituary for Dr. Lev Samsonovich Kremenchugskiy

Dr. Lev Samsonovich Kremenchugskiy, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Friday, May 28th, 2021 at the age of 97. He is survived by his children, Vladimir (Stella) Kremenchugskiy, and Alexandra (Illya) Suhoy, grandchildren, Lena Kremenchugsky (Matt Kersner), Sonya Kremenchugsky, Roman Suhoy and Manuela Suhoy, great grandson, Levi Kersner. He was predeceased by his wife, Rusya Strakovskaya, and parents, Samson and Rakhil Kremenchugskiy.

Dr. Lev Kremenchugskiy lived a long and productive life. Educated with 2 PhDs, he was a pioneer in the field of infrared detection widely used in our days for infrared cameras and sensors. Dr. Kremenchugskiy has 5 scientific books that are located in the Library of Congress, 111 patents, and 224 scientific papers published in the magazines. Veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy fighting against Nazis. Loving father and grandfather, and just recently became great grandfather and was very happy to be part of the Jewish family.

An in-person and Virtual Funeral in Levinson's Chapel will be held Sunday May 30, 2021 at 9am for both online and in person attendance. Interment Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
