Obituary for Lilly R. Chester
Lilly R. Chester (nee Rochman), Holocaust survivor, 97, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Friday, May 21st, 2021. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Gitelle Cardin and Annette (Marc) Posner; grandchildren, Daniel Posner (Rebecca Weinstein) and Katie Posner; great-granddaughter, Leah Posner; and nephews, Mark Iwry (Daryl Lander) and Jonathan Iwry. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene S. Chester; and parents, Gustava and Mordechai Rochman.
Lilly will be remembered for how much she cared about people. She was incredibly giving and contributed to a wide variety of charities. However, Lilly's most important cause - and the one she gave to the most - was her family.
Services at Arlington Chizuk Amuno Cemetery - N. Rogers Ave. on Monday, May 24th, 2021 at 3:00 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place SW, Washington, DC 20024.
