Harriet and Harold,
I just saw that Lola had passed, and sat back with fond memories of so many visits with her. Always the same complaints, always the same Lola, but with an endearing quality that said so much. May her memory be for a blessing, she will live on in my heart and the hearts of so many others. BDE

Dear Harriet, Chaim, and Family: Please accept my condolences on the loss of your precious Mother. I so enjoyed her company the year she came over for Pesach. We had a hectic seder and she was gracious enough to compliment me on the food and smile all evening. Her qualities of chesid, family loyalty, tenacity, and Am Yisrael exemplify the best that Jewish women bring to the world, She is a role model to her great-grandchildren and all who knew her. -Sheri Uffer and Family

Dear Harriet and family. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your dear mother Lola and my parents, Sally and Henry Finkelstein were best of friends. My dad knew your mom in Poland before they came to the United States. Every Saturday night for decades they all played cards together. I loved your mom. There was only one Lola! Your mom was so kind, and so caring and had an amazing sense of humor. Lola helped to make all the food for my wedding shower including her famous cake with that special chocolate frosting. After my mom passed away, your mother kept up with me, calling to see how I was. I can't tell you what that meant to me and her warmth and love really helped me at a very low time in my life. She would always hang up the phone saying , I love you and she truly meant it. Lola also kept up with my dad, taking him out with her to the mall and just trying to help him and show him kindness. Your mom was one of a kind and my thoughts and prayers are with you. May her memory be for a blessing......

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your beloved mother. I met your mom some years ago thru Anna Greenblatt and would also see her at Chevrei Tzedek. Lola was a lovely woman and made the best chopped liver. She was always so proud of her wonderful family. I have missed her beautiful smiling face and upbeat personality for some years now. May her wonderful memories, that you shall cherish, be of consolation to you always.
