Obituary for Madelyn Raful Wright
Madelyn Raful Wright, of Dover, Delaware, passed away on Monday, March 1st, 2021 at the age of 82. She is survived by her children, Mitchell Howard Raful, Denise Miriam (Patrick) Holechek, and Melinda Francine (Orlando) Wright; sister, Harriet Sue (Barry) NewDelman; and grandchildren, Kyle Alexander Holechek, Brooke Erin Holechek, Briana Olivia Wright, Elisha Jasmine Wright, and Zachary Jordan Wright; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Earl Raful and Jimmy Wright; brother, Lawrence (Barbara) Goldberg; and parents, Dr. Albert and Anne Mae Goldberg.
Mom was better known as Bubbe' to her grandchildren and children. Bubbe' loved to travel, read, do needlepoint and most importantly she loved her family. She served on many boards throughout her lifetime and most recently was on the board at Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood, and Newcomers of Dover. She was a mentor for Connecting Generations, volunteer for the the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and a Life Member of Hadassah. She was our little Energizer Bunny and will be greatly missed.
