Obituary for Marcia "Bunnie" Maggid

Marcia "Bunnie" Maggid (nee Klamner), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 24th, 2021 at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Maggid; by her children, Diane Maggid-Borenstein, Mindy (Jeff) Mullin, Dr. Steve (Dr. Mindy) Maggid, and Marilyn (Lee) Harris; her brother, Samuel "Sonny" (Marsha) Klamner; her grandchildren, Ashley Borenstein, Rebecca Borenstein, Lauren Mullin, Emily Mullin, Zoey Maggid, Jake Maggid, Jayden Harris, and Madison Harris; and her sister-in-laws, Shirley Offit and Ann Offit; and her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Louis Klamner, her mother-in-law, Anne B. Offit, her father-in-law, Julius Offit, her father-in-law, Joseph Maggid, her brother-in-laws, Morton Offit and Saul Offit, and her sister-In-law, Harryette Offit.

She cherished her children and grandchildren, married for 65 years to her love, Jerry. A Coloratura Soprano, she won the Miss Liberty Beauty Pageant, had her operatic debut in Carnegie Hall at age 17, and performed in Philadelphia regularly with The Paul Whiteman Big Band. These were just a few of her many accomplishments. When producer/director Cecil B. DeMille heard her sing, he invited her to come to Hollywood. Despite her tremendous success, she chose to give up her career because she wanted to be a devoted wife and mother.
