Mark Whitman, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023 at the age of 85. He is survived by his loving sister, Sandy Winters; and devoted nephews, Gary (Shanna) Winters and Andrew Winters (Sophia Hollander). He was predeceased by his loving parents, David and Edith Whitman; and beloved brother-in-law, Stephen Winters. Mark was beloved by friends, family, students and faculty at Towson University.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Thursday, January 19th, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Interment United Hebrew Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to House of Ruth, 2201 Argonne Dr., Baltimore, MD 21218. The family will be in mourning at 6350 Red Cedar Place, Apt. 214, Baltimore, MD 21209, beginning Thursday at 5pm, Friday 12 pm to 3 pm, Saturday, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and Sunday, 12 pm to 3 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm. Services on Thursday at 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 pm. The family requests no visitors immediately following interment.
