Dear Joyce and big lovely Galun family. I was very lucky to know Mel last 15 years. It was the best to sing with him Russian and Iddish songs and listen his stories . His love to life , to his family and friends are the light in the memories forever.
My condolences to all of you.

We met Mel Galum with the whole Cashon family in Israel one summer. He loved being in Israel, he loved being with his family, and he loved to share all his interests and enthusiasm with those around him. We will always remember him for a blessing.

Sending my love to the extended Galun family. I have many wonderful memories of hanging out with Julie and her family in London, while Mel shared his appreciation for The Beatles, Billy Joel and other excellent music, all just down the street from Abbey Road. Those were special times, and he will me missed.

Dear friend...years of golden memories...Brooklyn College...trimming the tree at the Psarianos home...seders in your Brooklyn apartment...philosophical discussions...political discussions...more discussions...watching a man land on the moon...trudging along a beach in New Jersey to seine for fish...gimlets...chulent...children born...children wed...grandchildren born and growing...a light has gone from our world, but his memory will be eternal.

Michele, George, Eirini, Chris & Jim also send their deepest condolences.
