Obituary for Morton Irving Blankman
Morton Irving Blankman, of Tamarac, Florida (formerly Pikesville), passed away on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at the age of 87. He is survived by his loving children Abbie Blankman, Julia (Mitchel) McCandlish, and Alan (Elena) Blankman; brother Harold (late Barbara) Blankman, sister Barbara (Michael) Agetstein; grandchildren Samuel McCandlish (Michelle Lerman), Nathaniel McCandlish, Jeremy McCandlish, Rebecca Blankman, Ethan Blankman, and Hannah Blankman; and great-grandson Henry McCandlish. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Phyllis Lavy Blankman and parents Samuel and Betty Blankman.
Morty enjoyed his last few years in Florida with his partner Marilyn Gamse Potter, loved spending time with his grandchildren, and was thrilled to meet his great grandson Henry last month.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208 on Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at 10:30 am. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery. Please omit flowers. The family will be sitting shiva after the internment at 2 Pomona East Apt 505, Pikesville, MD 21208, the home of Barbara and Michael Agetstein, with a service at 7pm, and on Friday from 11-3. They will also be receiving family and friends on Saturday from 11-3. A virtual shiva will be held on zoom on Sunday, November 20 at 7pm, please see the shiva section of this page for the link.
