Perie Sollod Meltzer, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday February 15th, 2021 at the age of 80. She is survived by her cherished children Richard (Anne) Meltzer and Mindi (Reed) Roeser; sister Sandra Sollod Poster and brother-in-law John “Charlie” Ford; and was a devoted “Gupie” to her grandchildren Josh Roeser, Abby Roeser, Sam Meltzer, and Leo Meltzer; and a loving aunt to Michael Poster. Perie graduated from Forest Park High School in 1958, and the University of Maryland in 1962. She earned master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Social Work and had a long career as a psychotherapist. She had a wide range of interests especially travel, literature, and caring for animals. She was also well known as an exceptional bread baker. Perie was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, and friend; and was especially devoted to her dogs Ping, Ming, & Ling.
