Obituary for Reta Shulman Sherman

Reta Rose Shulman Sherman, originally of Baltimore, MD, 58-year resident of Bel Air, MD, and most recently of Wayland, MA passed away on June 20th, 2022 at the age of 90. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Towson State University in 1980 at the age of 48. Reta's varied career included retail cashier, medical lab technician at Sinai Hospital, research lab technician at the Edgewood area of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Interior Designer, Interior Design Instructor at Harford Community College, Continuing Education Coordinator at Harford Community College, creator and Director of the Senior Activities program at the Bel Air Athletic Club, and author. As much as she enjoyed her career and the many friends she met along the way, Reta's most cherished roles were those of wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was famously generous in both her love of family and friends, and the size and variety of the meals served at her table.

Reta was predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband of 68 years Irving Sherman, sister Penny Love, and her parents Dora and Abraham Shulman. Reta is survived by (and will be deeply missed by) her son Arthur Sherman, her daughter-in-law Marie St. Germain, her grandsons Adam and Brandon, and her many extended family members.
