Obituary for Robert B. Gerstein
Robert B. Gerstein, of Reisterstown, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at the age of 76. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda K. Gerstein (nee McDowell); children, Stacy (Gary) Corrado, Robin (Robert) Hoffman; siblings, Leonard (Lois) Gerstein, and Wilma Parlaman; and grandchildren, Anna (Nicolas) Nunez, E. Garrett Corrado, and Misha Hoffman. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Richard Parlaman; and parents, Israel "Irv" and Anna Gerstein (nee Goodman).
Robert will always be remembered as a charming, well kept, generous man. A hardworking pharmacist, Robert's vast professional and social network began when he attended the AZO pharmacy fraternity at the University of Maryland. Everyone who knew Robert knows that that he would always be there for you, that you can count on him. His regular workouts with friends naturally turned into the founding of "The Rat Pack", a group of guys that always met to exercise, eat lunch, and play cards. His family will miss him fondly for the devotion and passion he had for them. His eagerness to step in and help his daughter to get a good deal on her car speaks volumes to how much he wanted to help those around him, and get a deal here or there. He shared optimism with all who knew him, taught his family how to take care of themselves, and brought people together with ease. The world is a better place because Robert was in it. May his memory be a blessing always.
