Obituary for Roslyn Stavisky (Braverman)
Roslyn Stavisky (nee Braverman), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at the age of 84 after a two year-long battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, Robert Stavisky; children, Jeff (Lori) Stavisky and Lori Gerstley; siblings, William Braverman and Dolores Fishbein; grandchildren, Allie Gerstley, Tori Gerstley, Sophie Stavisky and Lily Stavisky. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Ken Gerstley; brother-in-law, Bernard Fishbein; and parents, Beatrice and Samuel Braverman.
Roz was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised by her parents in Baltimore from the age of fourteen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was the happiest when she was spending time with her family and the Ravens pulled off a win.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 at 9:00 am. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Kenny Gerstley Community Violence Fund at Center for Hope, 2401 W. Belvedere Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215. The family will be in mourning at 3 Windflower Court, Reisterstown, MD 21136, Sunday and Monday from 5pm-8pm.
