Dear Sandy and Mitchell,

We are very saddened to learn of Sam's passing. From traffic guidance on Liberty Rd., watching the kids grow up, go to Israel, at minyanim until covid, Sam was always there. Watching you deal with
good and difficult times, always together, was inspiring. He will be remembered well, and we
hope that memories of good times will provide some comfort during this sad one.

Fitting service for Sam. The pain was palpable even from here in Georgia. Sorry to meet his granddaughters this way but I know he must be proud of them and of Mitchell. May he be with Richard now. I certainly know where to donate-- as Mitchell just said, he would do anything for family. May Sam's memory be for a blessing.

Dear Sandy,
My earliest memory of Sam was almost 37 years ago when I became involved at Beth Israel. He and I had a private conversation about religious school that has stayed with me all these years. In the past 2 decades you and Sam have been donors to the Richard Friedman Fund for USY. His warm smile and ability to really listen and hear what is being said is what I will always remember. I hope in time his warm smile helps you smile again. His memory will be a blessing'
