I have wonderful memories of Sandy. We would sit together on the school bus going home, and when we were both about 12 years old, I asked her to go on a date. We had lunch at Mandell’s and saw a movie at the Crest Theatre. Sandy told me about two years ago that I was her first date. As a matter of fact, she was also my first date. We went out several other times after that, always in a group with Margie and Sue. One day a good-looking guy came to Park School to pick her up in his Chevrolet Corvette and whisked her away. That was the end of our relationship. I remember Sandy as a beautiful young lady with a sweet personality. Condolences to her sisters and her sons.

Dear Bloom Family,
I am so saddened by the passing of your dear, beautiful Sandy. I will never forget the many happy, fun -filled times that my family shared with yours. My children have told me that they remember all the good times together at Green Valley and at school with the Bloom kids too. They are wonderful memories of happy days that we enjoyed together. May her life always remain as a blessing to all who loved her. Gloria

I was saddened to read of your dear Sandy’s passing. Sandy and I graduated Park School together, she , clearly the prettiest sweetest girl in the class. What good times we had! May her wonderful memories, that you shall cherish, be of consolation to you always.

Dear Bloom family,

We are so saddened to hear of Aunt Sandy’s passing. I have only the fondest memories growing up with your family in which Sandy and her kitchen were the center of it all! As I grew older she was always just a phone call away for me whenever I had a question about recipe. I don’t recall when I realized that you were not really my first cousins and aunt Sandy and uncle Jackie were not truly my aunt and uncle. Aunt or not, Sandy always made us feel loved. I know everyone she encounterd felt the same. For that memory and many more, I am grateful.

To the Bloom family- We are so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of my childhood and times spent with your amazing family. Fun family meals, times at the beach, backyard parties, and day trips. So great to grow up with an Aunt Sandy, Uncle Jack, and three cousins that weren’t even blood related. Awesome!

Dear Family,
I had the honor of working with Sandy, Jack and their beautiful family while I was a professional at The Associated and when they established the Susan Bloom Memorial Fund. Sandy was the warm light in any room with her bright smile and loving heart. She and Jack involved their children and grandchildren in their philanthropy to keep Susan’s memory alive and to teach them how to be generous to those with fewer resources. She leaves a precious legacy to her family and the community. May her memory always be an inspiration and comfort to her family and friends.
