Obituary for Shirley Blattner (Glashtein)
Shirley Blattner (nee Glashtein), of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at the age of 95. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Julien Blythe and Madeline Blythe; and many loving cousins, friends, and family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, M. Stuart Blattner; daughter, Jacqueline Blythe; brother, Jack Glashtein; and parents, Lena and Frank Glashtein.
Shirley will be remembered as a funny, stylish, cool mom, and a "hostess with the mostess." She believed in the health benefits of walking - whether along Smith Avenue with her husband every day or, in later years, in the halls of her condo building. Shirley's hobbies also included shopping and, above all else, her daughter. She ran her own bookkeeping business for a time, but what she was truly proud of was the family she created.
Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Monday, May 30th, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Har Sinai Cemetery - Garrison Forest Rd. Please omit flowers.
