Obituary for Sibyl Raksin Gordon (nee Carmel)
Sibyl Raksin Gordon (nee Carmel), of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at the age of 94. She is survived by her devoted children, Stanley Z. (Meryl) Raksin, Jay S. Raksin, Toby Gordon (Bruce Kaup), and Steven (Gilda) Gordon; loving grandchildren, Adam C. Raksin, Jarret (Susan) Siegel, Carol Benesh (Brian) Taylor, Brett Kaup, and Drew Kaup; precious great grandchildren, Hudson Siegel, Indy Siegel, Jake Taylor, and Brooke Taylor. She was predeceased by her loving husbands, Charles H. Raksin and Julius Gordon; beloved daughter, Marcia H. Benesh; devoted sister, Jeannette (Lester) Kolman; and loving parents, Blanche and Joseph Carmel.
Services at Baltimore Hebrew, Berrymans Lane Cemetery, 318 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136, on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 at 10:00 am. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of your choice. The family will be in mourning at 7 Slade Avenue, Apt #713, Baltimore, MD 21208, immediately following interment, through 4 pm. Then from 6 to 8 pm, with a service at 6:30 pm. On Friday, guests are welcome from 1 to 4 pm. The family will attend services at Beth El Congregation on Friday night.
