Obituary for Stephen Jay Cohen
Stephen Jay Cohen of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the age of 77. Steve was one of five children born in Baltimore to the late Louis and Goldie Cohen. He is survived by his cherished siblings, Harriet Shapiro (late Alvin Shapiro), Ilene Blumberg (late Allan Blumberg), Michael (Naomi) Cohen, and Judy Pressman (Howard Rothschild); nine loving nieces and nephews; twenty adoring great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew; and devoted cousins.
Services will be held at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road at Mount Wilson Lane, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Masks are required for those attending indoor portions of the service; for those who are feeling unwell, please consider viewing the service remotely by clicking the webcast link at the top of this page.
Please proceed directly to the chapel, as the family will not be receiving visitors prior to the service. Interment Shaarei Tfiloh Cemetery.
The family will be sitting shiva at 3031 Fallstaff Road, #405, Baltimore, Maryland 21209. Services will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Also, the family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday and Thursday only from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Kindly wear a mask during shiva visits.
