Obituary for Thelma Naomi Shuster (Gans)
Thelma Shuster (nee Gans), of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at the age of 91. She is survived by her loving children, Mark Shuster (Nina Blecher), and Dr. Jeri Shuster (Dr. Bruce Rosenblum); grandchildren, Daniel (Autumn) Rosenblum, Erica Rosenblum, Natalie (Bradley) Lugo, and Alana (Andrew) Whipp; and great grandchildren, Abigail Rosenblum, Kaden LeCouter, Sloane Whipp, and Hugh Lugo. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Abraham Shuster, and parents, Charles and Gertrude Gans.
Thelma was known for her love of animals, skilled bridge game, and chicken matzoh ball soup that rivaled the best! Her grandchildren and great children always brought a smile to her face and laughter to her lips.
Services at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery 9500 Riggs Road Adelphi, MD 20783, on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 at 11 am. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Congregation Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim, 1840 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD 20902, or to Montgomery County Humane Society, 601 S Stonestreet Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850, or to Temple Isaiah, 12200 Scaggsville Road, Fulton, MD 20759. The family will be mourning at 11874 Linden Chapel Road, Clarksville, MD 21029, immediately following interment with a service at 5:30pm on Wednesday.
