Obituary for Uri Feldman

Uri Feldman, of Columbia, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, February 26th, 2023 at the age of 87. He is survived by his devoted sons, Doron (Debbie) Feldman, Ronen (Kim) Feldman and Tomer (Shelley) Feldman; loving sisters, Nitza (itzik) Itzkovitz and Aliza (Meier) Sternfeld; sister-in-law Erela Israelit; adoring grandchildren, Leeshi, Daniel, Jacob, Sam, Ariel, Naomi (fiance Grant Johnson), Talia, Erin, and Leah; He was predeceased by his devoted wife Dalia Feldman (nee Israelit), and parents Shoshana and Chaim Feldman.

Uri devoted his life first and foremost to his wife Dalia, his sons, daughters in-laws, his 8 grandchildren, his sisters, brother in-laws and extended family living in Israel. Uri was a world renowned physicist. He built the Wise Observatory in the Negev desert, worked for Tel Aviv University, NASA and the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC. In his career he published more then 500 scientific articles in referenced journals. While not working, he spent his time tutoring his eight grandchildren in math and physics. Uri lived a simple, integrity filled life who will be remembered as a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family.

Services at the Chapel at Judean Memorial Gardens, 16225 Batchellors Forest Road, Olney, MD 20832, on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Lubavitch Center of Howard County, 770 Howes Lane, Columbia, MD 21044 or Ellicott City Chabad, 9785 Old Frederick Rd Route99, Ellicott City, MD 21042. The family will be in mourning at 2922 Excelsior Springs Court, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042. The family will be receiving immediately after interment with an evening service.
