Joel was a wonderful person and a great friend. He was active in his Shul Chabad and was always avail to lend a hand or an ear. He was a genuinely kind man. I had no idea he would be gone so soon. I miss him terrible. He was a carpenter by trade and spent many years as a machgiach as well. My parents hosted him dozens of times throughout the years.

He was a man of true honesty integrity, and was a very humble person, who really served God with passion. Never seeking the lime light, and always happy with his lot. Joel I will miss you so much. But am grateful for all of the memories, and life lessons you taught me. Levi and Aaron my heart goes out to you during this difficult time. He was a very devoted loving father.

Condolences go out to the entire Lowenstein family.I knew Joel for many years. Joel was a dedicated member of the Lubavich Shul on Clarks Lane. I lived in the Park Heights neighborhood for 11 years and saw Joel help the various Shuls in the area doing repair work & building Sukkahs each year. Joel loved being a Jew. Being a neighbor to Levi, I would see Joel many times over the years. I enjoyed talking with Joel about construction projects, holidays, or current ev ents. I can be with your family for outdoor Shiva minyon. Remember that Joel had many friends, and I am sure they all share in your sorrow , at this difficult time. May you remember all the wonderful times you shared together with your dad & gtandfather...May Hashem bless his good Soul !! Baruch Hashem !!
