My heart is so full of love for Rosemarie & so heavy with grief at her sudden death. It is hard to capture Rosemarie's essence in a few words. She was an extremely generous person, lavishing many material gifts on her friends, but also lavishing her friendship & love on them. The quality that I always found so unique to Rosemarie is she didn't allow her age to limit her plans & dreams for her life the way so many people do when they get older. No matter her age, she continued to live her life to the fullest, the same as always. Right to the very end, she was alive & looking to the future. I was so lucky to have known her & I will always miss her.

I so enjoyed having the opportunity to sing with Rosemarie in the choir at Temple Isaiah. There are songs for which Rosemarie would sing her beautiful solos and I still hear her voice in my head whenever I hear these songs (and always will). As an Alto, I could not stand next to Rosemarie with her beautiful Soprano voice, but I always tried to stand behind her to hear her. Her pursuit of knowledge, her creativity, her stories, her love of family and her willingness to come to choir practices and then drive home so far, never ceased to inspire me. I so enjoyed speaking with her after services. I have a beautiful necklace which she made and I will always treasure it, as I will her memory.

I have such rich memories of Rosemarie. I taught her history of music at Towson University in the 1970s and have seen her smiling face regularly at concerts and other events through the years. My deepest sympathy is extended to you, David and the rest ofd the family.

I greatly mourn the death of my dear friend Rosemarie. I am still stunned to even contemplate not getting her daily emails as we shared so very much-from music to children to politics. David you are in my thoughts. She cared so very much for her family.

If memories are our legacy then Mrs. Greenwald's legacy is secure and full of love. I never see a cannoli without thinking of her kitchen and the woderful smells that it produced (and none I've ever tasted since have been as good). Recently, as I zoomed back to shul to honor my Dad's memory, I would listen to the prayers being sung but the voice I always heard was hers. So many of my early memories include the generous, loving spirit that was Mrs. Greenwald. She will be missed but never forgotten.

John and I would like to give you our condolence on Marie's passing, it wasn't too long ago that we were at your house and shared a wonderful dinner with the both of you. Rosemarie and I would often email each other about what was going on during the Covid shut down and the problems Amaretto was having. She will be very much missed by the both of us. Take care, if you need anything let us know.

Oh David,
Arnold joins me in sadness about Rosemarie's passing. I loved singing with her at Temple Emanuel. I loved that our children were married under the chuppah that she lovingly made for Temple Emanuel.
May her memory be forever a blessing

David and family,
I’m so sorry to learn of Rosemarie’s passing. I fondly remember all of our shared choir experiences, especially our duet many years ago for Sabbath Shuva (as the shortest and tallest in the choir, we made quite the pair!). Rosemarie had a beautiful voice and spirit, she will be missed by so many. May her memory be a blessing.
