What a beautiful service of remembrance. The overflowing of people in the church was an indication of how loved Will and all the Thomas family is and how much you all mean to so many of us. We pray for your solace and for his soul, may he rest in peace and live forever in your hearts.

Dearest Thomas Family,
Maya Angelou said, what we most remember is how someone made us feel and being around Will always made us feel good. Know that so many lives were touched by him – his sweetness, his wry smile, his quiet presence, his sense of humor, his intelligence, his gentle footprint in the world. We miss him deeply and love him even more.

Dear Herb, Brooke and family,
I have been thinking about you and Will and praying for all of you. This is a very difficult time but please know that many people are thinking of you. I am sure that Will’s friends are telling stories and sharing all of their good memories. Hopefully they will share them with you as those shared memories can be a gift to all. It sounds as if Will was truly an amazing and much loved young man.

To Will's family- I enjoyed knowing Will as one of my daughters' (Drew & Sydney) friends from Poly. I would occasionally pick him up or drop him off on our way to/ from school and I was always left smiling or laughing. The girls have told me so many "Will Thomas" stories over the years, and just recently learned that even one of our previous dogs was a guest of Will's at one time just so they could hang out. The loss of Will is shared by us, including me, having known him and as a mother. As we say as Jews- may his memory be a blessing, as Will was while he was here. Words can not aptly express how truly sorry I am and how I wish I could undo this loss for you.

Dear Brooke and Herb and Family. Just a note to express our sincerest sympathy to you and your precious family at this great loss. Words don't come easily but the sadness and sorrow is so real. We want you to know we have you in our hearts and prayers. May the Lord hold you close to His Heart and dry your tears and give you His peace. Jesus cried at the tomb of his friend Lazarus and we are sure there are many other times that he cried -- and still cries. We have one very "precious" memory of Will. Brooke and Ruth came to the mission and he was with them. He was probably not more than two. We gave him pretzels and he had them in his mouth like a chipmunk. That was a special moment
in our time in New York. We will continue to keep you in our prayers. We are here if you need us.
God Bless........................Miss Meewes and Miss Harp

Dear Brooke, Herb & family,

We are heartbroken for your loss. We didn’t get a chance to meet Will over the many years we’ve known your family, but I know he - like all your children - was a warm and loving kind person. I’ve always been so impressed how your large family was always happy and full of loving energy. I hope the memories of Will and the loving times you had over his short life will bring comfort in time. We are all holding you in our hearts.

Dear Brooke, Herb, and family, I have always admired your beautiful, loving, large family. Brooke, your love of children and your radiant, upbeat, energetic personality spreads sunshine and happiness wherever you go. I remember when you were pregnant with Ian, you jokingly said to us at church, “Just one more I told Herb, so he will never grow old alone.” Your love of family and your selflessness as a mother, was then, and is now, boundless and a reminder to all of us to just love and not get tied up in anything petty that distracts from love and family. Just seeing your smile and hearing your voice, will pick me up in an instant. You never seem to tire, giving of yourself, most if not all, of the time. I was so happy that you taught my nephew James. You are a natural, born teacher and mother. I have never met anyone with your magnetism and positivity. Herb, your gentle calm as the Dad of this beautiful household flowing with kids, has always impressed me. We are so truly sorry for your loss. We are praying for all of you during this very difficult and unimaginably painful time. You are a family of boundless love and a true inspiration to our community.

Cayuga Lake is a wonderful thing to love, and I'm sure it loves Will back. It is a force of nature, of God's beauty, and it is as deep and expansive as the love we all feel for the family in this time.

Will Thomas was a wonderfully clever, sweet, and loved human being. Growing up with him and his family was a privilege that I appreciate enormously. Will was able to bring smiles and laughter into any room. His thoughtfulness is unforgettable. I will miss Will so dearly and always remember him so fondly.

I only met Will once. It was Swim Across America and he was doing the whole mile in a pool without practicing at all. He complained he was tired but his mom said he could do it and he did! Our hearts hurt for you and your wonderful family. Deepest condolences and sympathy. Love Jenny, Jason, Noah and Alisa

For some reason my daughter thought Will’s name was Jonathan when she met him. She decided he was a Jonathan and that is what she called him. Instead of Will being annoyed by his youngest sister’s friend he humored her and would smirk and roll his eyes but would always answer her when called him Jonathan. Will, you kind sweet spirit are loved and remembered.

Brook, Herb, Larsen, Isabel, Margo, Ian, Allegra and Sarah you are in my thoughts and prayers.
