Mimi Bilenky (nee Cohen), of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the age of 87. She is survived by her cherished sons, Gary (Rochelle) Bilenky and Rick (Nikki) Bilenky; sister, Bettye Cohen; grandchildren, Steven (Danielle) Bilenky, Jennifer Bilenky (Frank Houser), Michelle (Brandon) Aument, and Lauren (Jeffrey) Love; and great-grandchildren, Bennett and Parker Love. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernard Bilenky; and parents, Bessie and Simon Cohen.

Mrs. Bilenky met Bernard at an Army dance. She devoted herself to raising her sons and then went on to work as a teacher's assistant at Baltimore Hebrew for over 20 years. She delighted in having her grandchildren in her preschool classes. Mrs. Bilenky loved playing Mahjong, doing puzzles and - most importantly - being with friends and family. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Services are private. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 405 Williams Court, Suite 120, Baltimore, MD 21220.

Mimi and I worked together in the early days of the Baltimore Hebrew Pre-School. Both of my daughters were the beneficiaries of her love. She never failed to ask about my girls, in later years, when we would see each other. Thank you, Mimi, for all you gave to our children! Gary and Ricky, may all of your memories be sweet.

To Mimi's family,
Baruch Dayan HaEmet. "Miss Mimi" was a very special and beloved person. I first met her when she taught our girls in the 2 year old mommy and me program at Baltimore Hebrew Preschool. She knew all the children and greeted them at the door with open arms and hugs. Got to know her better when I started working at the preschool and really got to watch her in action. She truly enjoyed being with the children. When play and fun was done, she was off to her adult activities. May you find comfort among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.

To Mimi's family and friends,
"Miss Mimi" taught both of my children when they attended Baltimore Hebrew Preschool.
Those were wonderful memories . I would see Mimi at Shopper's @ Greenspring and she always asked
about my boys. When I would tell her that they were both married and I was a grandma, her face would light up and smile . So many children were very blessed to have had her as their teacher during those early years . Thank you "Mimi".

Rick & Gary,

My/our sincerest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your wonderful mom. I have fond memories of Mimi that back over 50 years ago. Your mom was always very kind and pleasant; and in fact, I never heard her raise her voice. She would always sit on her aluminum patio chair (on Marott Drive) and watch us play ball at Bilenky Field. May her memory be a blessing. And may she rest in peace with your dad, who also was a very likable person.
